Blue Mist is inspired by landscape, giving the feeling of the blue sky peaking through the rays of sun on a piercingly bright afternoon. Green hills and waterfalls grace the path we are on. This piece was created circa 2008. Lifes’ challenges had mounted in the previous years, including the death of both of my parents. My partner nearly lost his life as well, after we were together for only one year. This painting, as many of my other works, speaks to being on the other side of pain, and finding your joy, your bliss. The path we follow can be as light as the shapes of color, but also accented by the black shapes and marks of new experiences, that ground us into new aspects of ourselves.
