Eclipse was completed in 2004, following the death of my mother in November of 2003. This piece speaks to all things being eclipsed by the shadow of my grief. The bright sun, dark moon a blue earth are living simultaneously in the top right corner. The black and yellow ink marks fight for prominence, representing the struggle between despair and joy. New love also entered my life in 2004, opening the door to happiness once again. White rectangles begin to grow new, pure structures within my heart.
