Grass is Always Greener was completed in 2007, as part of a nine piece series, including Red, White and Blue, Orange Fence, Ghostwriting, Circles in the Sky, Blue Ribbons, Blue Glow, A Cloud in the Sky and Scattered Shapes.

The marks on the right side of the painting crowd together like so many figures full of motion. I surrendered to the energy of the art show circuit, driving all around the country, disappearing into crowds, running away from heartache. My own grass, my solitude and focus, was always greener. I always returned to myself.
